The Blanca Air Pistol Operates Using A Spring-powered, Pull-back Slide Mechanism To Cock The Spring And Is Capable Of Firing Both Steel Bbs (Multiple Shots) Or A Single Lead Pellet.
Here Is A Step-by-step Guide On How To Operate It, Covering Both Ammunition Types.
⚠️ Safety First
Before Handling Any Air Pistol, You Must Follow Basic Safety Rules:
- Always Treat The Pistol As If It Were Loaded.
- Always Point The Muzzle In A Safe Direction.
- Keep Your Finger Off The Trigger Until You Are Ready To Fire.
- Wear Safety Glasses (Eye Protection) At All Times.
1. Cocking The Pistol (The "Pull-push" Mechanism)
The Blanca Uses A Unique Process To Compress Its Internal Spring, Which Is Required Before You Can Load Or Fire.
Step Action
- Release Lock Push Down The Slide Lock (Often Located On The Side, Like A Slide Release On A Real Pistol) To Unlock The Top Slide.
- Pull Back : Grasp The Slide And Pull It Back Firmly Until You Hear A Distinct "Click" Or Locking Sound. This Ensures The Spring Mechanism Is Engaged.
- Push Forward : Push The Slide Forward Again Until It Closes Fully And Locks Back Into Its Original Position. The Gun Is Now Cocked.
2. Loading The Ammunition
After Cocking, The Barrel Unit Can Be Opened For Loading. You Must Choose Either Bbs Or Pellets, Never Both At The Same Time.
Option A: Loading Steel Bbs (Multi-shot)
Open Barrel: Press The Front Barrel/muzzle Section At A Slight Angle (Or In Some Models, Press A Button Near The Muzzle) To Open The Top Bb Chamber.
Load Bbs: Pour The 4.5mm Steel Bbs Into The Chamber. The Blanca Can Typically Hold Up To 18 Bbs For Multi-shot Use.
Close Barrel: Push The Barrel Unit Back Down And Ensure It Is Fully Closed And Locked.
Option B: Loading Lead Pellets (Single-shot)
- Open Barrel: Press The Front Barrel/muzzle Section To Open The Unit As Described Above.
- Load Pellet: Carefully Place One Single 0.177-caliber (4.5mm) Lead Pellet Directly Into The Exposed Breach Or Lower Slot In The Barrel Unit.
- Seat Pellet: Ensure The Pellet Is Fully Seated And The Skirt (Rear) Is Flush With The Barrel.
- Close Barrel: Push The Barrel Unit Back Down And Ensure It Is Fully Closed And Locked.
3. Firing The Pistol
- Remove Safety: Locate The Safety Lock (Often A Small Lever Near The Trigger Guard Or Grip) And Push It To The "Fire" (Unlocked) Position.
- Aim: Take Aim At Your Target, Aligning The Front And Rear Sights.
- Fire: Place Your Finger On The Trigger And Squeeze Smoothly To Fire The Shot.
4. Cycling For The Next Shot
For Pellets (Single-shot)
The Gun Must Be Re-cocked (Go Back To Step 1) And Re-loaded (Go Back To Step 2, Option B) After Every Single Shot.
For Bbs (Multi-shot)
Since The Bbs Are Held In A Magazine/chamber, You Only Need To Re-cock (Go Back To Step 1) After The Shot. The Next Bb Should Automatically Move Into The Chamber, And You Are Ready To Aim And Fire Again.
